Last week Janet and I vacationed in California for 9 days…. Well actually our vacation lasted 11 days thanks to coming home in the middle of two feet of snow being dumped in Philadelphia. I’m glad we were able to see so much during our travels as I was about to call off vacations for a few years after our experience flying home. Between almost killing a German man on a train, not being able to find a hotel for three hours and a broken shuttle that stranded us on top of the 295 for two hours at 11:00PM after getting up at 3:00AM California time.  You get the idea…

It was a crazy adventure that tested my ability to remain calm

The good shizzle about California..

All I can say is that state has to be the most diverse place on the planet. You can be swimming in the ocean and in a two hour drive find yourself surrounded by a 30 story Sequoia tree in 4 feet of snow 5000 feet above sea level. During my time there I only worked one full day so it really was a great time to re-energize myself for what is to come in 2010 and reflect upon the adventure that is 2009.

As you can imagine the JJ was in heaven among all those trees. It really is very much the experience to be standing amoung trees that predate the time of Jesus.

Anyways on to our adventures….

By far the most most scenic way to climb half Dome.

Nintendo game tester hat

Gamestop $9.99

One of the coolest dudes to ever walk the planet.

The rest of these are pretty much right out of the camera…

All the camera nerds in the world understand how tricky this next exposure was. I think I took about 20 pictures until I nailed it.

This last one… My favorite of the day….

I wish I would have had more time to actually take pictures. Most of the time I was just in awe of all there was to look at in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
