Surf fishing on North Carolina Beach with friends

Last week I spent 6 days with my lifelong friend in Southern North Carolina. It was a good break from the craziness that is about to become my summer called wedding photography. This year I’m looking at 32 weddings and although I love what I do it always ends up being non stop running around with little time to sit back and just chill.

Last week I put the C in chill and got my relaxin on with friends. I vowed to use my camera as little as possible but, I couldn’t resist Saturday afternoon on Carolina beach.

This is my friend’s son Aden whom I just adore….

He is always so full of joy.

Mary Jones Green - Hi, Dan: My friend Joanne hill sent me these pictures of her grandchildren and I was so surprised when I discovered that you were the photographer. I knew you when you were growing up in Whitney Point. My parents are the Joneses who lived next door to you. What wonderful photography! Small world.

Daniel Lanton - A small world indeed. Seems like forever ago that I was running around making trouble in good old Upstate NY

Joanne Hill - Hi Dan, What wonderful pictures you take. You have a real gift! Your parents would be so proud of the man you have become. Bill and I never tire of looking at your beautiful work. Take some time for yourself this summer and join us at camp when Art and Robin and the kids come. You and your wife are always welcome. Joanne Hill
