The Demarco Family

Last week this lovely family invited me to their home for a session and since I almost never post family sessions on this blog I thought it would be a good idea to turn a new leaf and start posting them.

I love me some awesome family chemistry and these guys did not disappoint.

For information on how to book lifestyle family sessions with us send us a line at Dlanton@Darkershadesofbrown.com and we will be sure to get you in our books for an afternoon of fun.

Rachel - Please come and photograph my family. I really am looking for something like this to hang in our home. Just beautiful!

The Ramil Wedding Photobooth

One of the biggest questions I get when talking to a couple about their wedding reception is our photo-booth.

How it works?

When do we set it up?

We have been offering photo-booth packages for all our clients this year and probably about half of the weddings we do now have them at the reception. It really is a way to get fun pictures of all the adventurous people who attend your wedding. It always amazes me how varied the age groups are that hop on in and do ridiculous things for us.

I never know what to expect.

Give this first image about thirty seconds to load…

It’s worth the wait.

The groom sweating about the decision he made earlier in the day

Love this picture.

Er umm I laughed for 10 minutes.

I’ll give you this much money if you never ever show this picture to anyone.

I WIN!!!!

Liz Jackson - I just want to know how you get people to do this? It looks like so much fun!

Jennifer - The funny thing is, you never have to “get” them to do it. They seriously do this crazy stuff on their own. Ha!

alex - I was wondering how the rest of the guests that took a photo would be able to see it.

Daniel Lanton - Alex,
When the photos are ready for proofing they will have to contact David for a password.

iPad Wedding Albums

follow DanielLanton at http://twitter.com

We here at Darkershadesofbrown Photography have been talking about this for a few weeks on twitter and facebook and have created a bit of a stir so today I wanted to let everyone know that that we are officially launching our iPad Wedding albums. Ever since I had my eyes on this amazing device I have been thinking of ways to get them into my customers’ hands. So much is changing in how we display our images to our friends and family over the last few years and I can’t tell you how many requests I have received about how to best have images available for things like facebook and personal wedding blogs that people have created for their wedding.

After much thought I think we finally came up with an answer…

The Apple iPad will give you the freedom to personally show your friends all those wedding images you find in your wedding gallery….

Have you ever wanted to:

Create your own slide-shows and load your own music from your itunes account?

Get your images on Facebook?

Show your friends your images without having to bring them over to your house and open up your album?

Something tells me you have and now you can and with the purchase of this album option we will give you a one hour tour with your new device and show you the best way to do all of those things

Does this mean we are getting rid of our albums? Not at all, but we want to give you that additional option and provide a solution to that question you have asked us about displaying images digitally.

For more information about how you can get this option added to your wedding package as well as a demo of how it all works you can give us a call or email us at Dlanton@Darkershadesofbrown.com

Amber Jenkins - This is soo awesome. What a great idea!

Kristy R. - Love this Daniel! When all my images came in from the Renewal I immediately went out and bought an ipad. It is soo perfect for sharing images! Yay for your clients and congrats to you!

Aaron Campbell - I think this is the trend that portrait and wedding photographers are moving towards… the screen size makes it a no-brainer. Immediate viewing & sharing!

I’m waiting for Canon, Nikon, et all to make an adapter kit to connect the camera directly to the iPad. (I believe Apple added that connectivity API back in iPhone OS 3)
