So it’s no big secret that the JJ and I are “tree huggers”. We pretty much would live on the Appalachian trail if we could. Have a conversation with either one of us for very long and somehow it will end up about hiking. It’s a passion that we have shared for most of our marriage and this has been the first time in a few months that it was warm enough to really enjoy a good day hike.
It’s pretty rare these days for me to have a Saturday without work so we had to hit the trail and get some fresh air in our lungs.

All hikers on the east coast recognize these white blazes. They are our guiding light.

Deep breaths.

The adorable JJ

A good day!

Spring is near.

The office is officially closing for the next 9 days. JJ and I are heading out for our family vacation and this year we will be spending time in Sunny California enjoying a little beach time and ending our trip in Yosemite National Park. Whenever we travel together we end embarrassing our future children.
I’m not kidding…. We have enough fun to last the rest of the year.
I apologize to all requesting last minute Christmas photos but it has been an incredibly busy year for us and we just need to get away.
We will be open up for business again on Monday the 21st of December although I will be in Philadelphia shooting an engagement session all day. The best way to get in touch with me between now and then would be by email Dlanton@darkershadesofbrown.com I will try to get back to you from time to time when we have Internet access.
Just a few pictures from last years extravaganzacation!
Vacation…

Talk to ya all soon….
Well hopfully not too soon…
~Daniel~

Autumn in PA after the first snowfall.
A spiritual time for me.
It makes me feel like I am in a Japaneese mid 19th century abstract painting.
